Worth the investment

As a first-time client, I was looking for someone to help with my 401k rollover. I got a free initial consultation which was great because I could see if they were a good fit without any commitment. The advisor broke down the fees clearly, and while it's not cheap, the value for the investment advisory service seems fair. It felt like I was getting expert guidance for my money.

Good advice, a bit slow

I had an initial consultation for retirement planning. The advisor was knowledgeable and gave solid advice. I appreciated the fee waiver for that first meeting. The follow-up took a little longer than I expected, about a week to get the detailed proposal, but overall it was a positive experience. I just wish the turnaround on documents was a touch quicker.

Helpful with my investments

I used Royal Wealth Management for some stock market investing advice. The advisor was easy to talk to and explained things well. They helped me understand my options for asset allocation without making it too complicated. Everything went smoothly and I felt pretty good about their suggestions.

hey, is their client portal any good? I like to keep an eye on my investments without having to call someone every time.

P Priya 6 days ago
Yeah, the client portal is decent. You can see all your accounts and performance. Not as fancy as some apps out there, but it gets the job done for tracking.

It's pretty standard, nothing groundbreaking but functional. You can definitely check your statements and portfolio balances whenever you want. Easy to navigate.

Thinking about rolling over my old 401k to one of these guys. Anyone know if they have a minimum amount you need to invest for that?

R Raj Brooks 2 weeks ago
Yeah, I looked into them for my parents. I'm pretty sure they do have a minimum, but it's not crazy high like some private banks. You'd have to talk to an advisor for the exact number though.

I heard it's usually around 50k for most of their services, but maybe less for just a rollover. Best to just call 'em up directly.

I'm trying to decide between Royal Wealth Management and Fidelity. Anyone have experience with both or can say how Royal compares?

T Tara 3 weeks ago
Fidelity is more DIY, great for people who wanna manage their own stuff with lots of options. Royal is definitely more hands-on advisory. Depends on what you're looking for.

I used to be with Fidelity but switched to Royal for more personalized advice, especially for estate planning. Fidelity is good for basic investing but Royal felt more comprehensive for my whole financial picture.

Do they ever offer any kind of sign-up bonus or a deal for new clients? Like a waived fee or something?

P Phil Y. 1 week ago
They don't do promo codes or anything like that. But I did get a free initial consultation and portfolio review when I first talked to them. No obligation.

My buddy got his first few months of AUM fees waived after a referral from his coworker. So yeah, they do some stuff, but it's not like a coupon you'd find online. More like a direct offer.

Thinking of getting a free initial consultation. What exactly does that cover? Is it actually helpful or just a sales pitch?

F Faith Ito 1 week ago
It was pretty helpful for me. They looked at my current portfolio and gave some general ideas without pushing hard for me to sign up. Like, they actually listened to my goals.

Definitely not just a sales pitch. They reviewed my current financial situation and highlighted a few areas I wasn't optimizing, especially for taxes. It was a good intro, gave me a lot to think about.
